5th ed league/campaign

It looks like players are interested in some organized 40k play, and I've talked to Mike about hosting a league or tournaments at the store, and I'm more than happy to set it up. All I need now is some input from the players out there, specifically what kind of organized play would we enjoy the most? A league would be the most straight forward, allowing players to get as many games in as they'd like, while only being obligated to play one a week. This is a pretty inclusive...

5th edition play

Now that 5th edition has had a chance to sink in is anyone interested in some games? One-off games are great but I'd also like to see what the general interest in league or even campaign play might be. I've got the rules and map for a great campaign but we'd need at least 4 dedicated players for about a month and a half to two months of 1 game a week play. It could support many more that 4 players as well. Anyway post on this thread if you're interested in any kind of 40k...

I'll be looking for a game of 40k Saturday after the Warmachine tourney, or in place of if not enough people show. I think I can manage up to 1750 without having to add "useless" upgrades. 'Course, I'll also need about 15-20 minutes to put some stuff together first.

It has been a very long time since I gamed at hometown and the reason being I'm in Manhattan and didn't have a single free weekend. Now that football season is over (at least for me you lucky .........) I was curious if the store/community still got together to either play in tournaments or to just play on every 4th Saturday?

Interest in campaign play? Who's out there?

Howdy, I've been playing 40k for about a year now, recently been playing at the store with a friend. After muddling around for quite a while I feel like we've finally got a good grasp of the standard rules (and we've got our armies painted/assembled up to 1500), so it's time to mix things up.

Having lightly browsed the campaign section of the rulebook, I think it looks pretty cool. Is anyone out there interested in a campaign-style league sort of thing?

Well, from what I am hearing from different people is that Games Workshop has decided to go freaking crazy with this next stage. You have basically no forcelists nor limitations, you can play with whomever you want to. IE Elder with Nids, or Orks with Space Marines.

Anyways, for fits and giggles I think we should see if anyone can put together an apocolypse force. I think it would be easiest for us to find people to combine armies with, just to see for enetertainments sake what kind...

OK, I'm starting some new Warhammer/Warhammer 40,000 armies and I will pay anyone to put them together and paint it for me...the painting job doesn't need to be THAT good, but I want it to at least look kind of cool...I really want to play, but I'm terrible at gluing and painting (didn't play with models as a kid...)...so, does anyone want to do this? If you're interested, name your price! I'll hire the first person that offers me a fair deal!

40K armies

My friend Shaun Rice is moving to Texas to go to work for Reaper, He has several of the 40K armies that he would like to trade/sell before he moves. These are mostly assembled and painted, with lots of conversions. And a large amount of bits. Most of the models are prior releases, many going back to the first and second editions.
