The privateer CMG apparently had a pretty strong showing at Gencon and (I assume) should be hitting retail soon. Anyone at HT looking forward to this? I'll probably be picking some up ASAP, never been interested in War Machine or really any other CMG's but the theme looks too fun to pass up.

Starting sometime in June or July I would like, with Mikes permission, to start demos for Urban War, which I have mentioned to several of the folks that I regularily game against. The store has been having board game demos occasionally on Friday evenings. On the off weeks, is there interest in playing board games regularly? I have a small collection of games and would love to start a semi-regular group. It is with no small regret that I announce that Hometown Game will be losing its Assistant Manager, Jacob Sewell. Jacob is moving to Beloit, KS to work with his father in the family business.

Jacob has been here since before day one, being part of the package deal I took to buy the store. Jacob was invaluable early on, teaching me the ins and outs of the retail game store experience and, more importantly, making sure I knew who all of you were, what games you played...

Strategy Board Games

Is anyone out there interested in getting together on a week night to play Strategy Board games? I would like to get a crew of about five to six guys together for it. I have a few games myself and know the rules to several others well enough to play. I just moved back to Lawrence and currently have a few hours during the week that I can spend at the game store conquering and questing.

Also I play Star Fleet Battles, and would not mind finding someone to play that with on a week night...
